Product: Office Supplies: Sticky Notes
Audio Post-it Notes   (+6, -3)  [vote for, against]
Record your note and stick it to your monitor

This is a stack of post-it like notes, except instead of having a writing surface, they have a recordable chip inside them, like the type found inside talking greeting cards and some promotional items (like a table 'talker' card I saw at a restaurant last week, which had a "press here" button that played a 20-second ad for a TV show.) Extremely poor audio quality, but good enough for you to leave a 20-30 second message.

They would be thicker than the paper notes, and therefore would come in stacks of 10 or 20 or so. They should be reasonably affordable, using printed battery technology as a power source perhaps.

A bit like this... http://www.firebox....tion=product&id=545
...only thinner and less garish. [st3f, Jul 19 2002]

yeah, there are plenty of devices for leaving short recorded messages. I don't entirely see the advantage of making them ultra thin and disposable. If you did, they'd most likely be used as marketing devices, or just maybe egnor's digital graffiti, rather than post-it notes.

(At a trade show, I recently received an ultrathin player that gave a round of applause when opened, intended to be used by the recipient when on the phone.)

post-it notes have a habit of becoming unstuck to the place they should be stuck to and attached to a place they should not be attached hence I like this idea, they can shout at you to tell you where they are..

Record a ditty on them, and you'd see people walking around with stereo notes on their ears, humming to themselves.

Hmm... instead of the great whoopie cushion, you could record a real fart into the post-it, and then slap it on someone's ass... provided it were touch activated, that is... how would you turn them on?
