AutoSitar   (+1)  [vote for, against]
Like a music box, but way cooler

The AutoSitar is a sitar that plays itself.

It sits in the corner and just sitarulates calmly, peacefully, randomly. A series of plectrum on a spinning wheel play the sitar while actuators tweak the frets. The plectrum are actuated electronically by an onboard microprocessor which is programmed to play raga after beautiful raga with randomly generated phrases.

Coming soon: The AutoTabla and SuperHookah 2010.

I felt like giving you an Autobone to go with your autositar but I thought better of it. I was afraid you would play the steel drums on me after beating me up. +

Croissant. What's better than having a private Ravi Shenkar concert?

A private Ravi Shenkar concert with no Ravi Shenkar.

// I was afraid you would play the steel drums on me after beating me up //

Nah. I save the steel drums for the wretched. I would only beat you bloody.

<What's better than having a private Ravi Shenkar [sic] concert?>

A private Norah Jones non-concert.

//I would only beat you bloody.//

Or the closest equivalent. I think the NIH and WHO would advise against sharing my insides with your fragile ecosystem.

Great, more muzack. You'd probably want the vocal chords (or whatever) of a whale suspended from a corner of the room, stimulated to produce their 'song' through electrical discharch. Maybe we could just get some dolphins playing pan-pipes and have done with it. God-consarned hippies.
