Ball Lightning Wine   (+7)  [vote for, against]
Zeus Juice!

I was fascinated by the grape plasma link provided by [saker]. The grape levitates, becoming a ball of plasma. Clearly, this explains the phenomenon of ball lightning - grapes on the vine are converted to superheated grape plasma balls. Consider the amazing transmogrifications of grape sugars which must take place! Why not harvest these plasma balls of grapey goodness, cool them ever so slightly, and ferment them into wine? One would need large insulated harvesting nets to deploy over vinyards during storms. The rarity of ball lightning would allow the vintner/physicist to command premium prices for this rare brew.

If ball lightning is grape plasma, the 100 meter one here must be watermelon plasma. [bungston, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 06 2004]
