Attack 'themed' ideas

I have just emailed a custom virus to bakesperson which is currently hiding on the halfbakery server and doing a search and replace on the whole drive.

“Custard” will become “foul, yellow dog vomit”.

“Sphericon” will become “ball of EVIL”.

“Tumbleweed” will become “morsicant monster”.

Any instances of the word “pirate” will be replaced by “feckless seafaring nancy-boy”.

Soon this idea will no longer make sense.

Wow, really? That's kind of cool. But what if it starts to mutate, and changes 'croissant' to 'banana peel' and 'bones' to 'spikey hotdog'? And then every word starts to become something else? I think of this with awe and fear.

//Think of all the new ideas that will come of this!//

Which is why I think this is kind of cool.

Well, a pile of foul, yellow dog vomit for you, my old feckless seafaring nancy-boy.

The "Half-Heard Genius" virus
-- JesusHChrist, Mar 25 2005

It must be soon already.
-- normzone, Mar 25 2005

I already have the foul yellow dog vomit category covered today, after looking at my de-tox pads that I had on overnight on my feet. Does everyone's lymph system look as contaminated as mine?

See pictures on link near bottom of article.

I should probably point out that apart from the fact that I wouldn't know how to, I couldn't do anything that would deface the genius of Supermarket Pirates. I was just having a moment. Thought this might get boned.

To give a banana peel or a spikey hot dog?

"Oh fruddled gruntbuddly"
-- DesertFox, Mar 26 2005

thy micturations are to me

As plurdled gabbleblotchits on a lurgid bee

Groop I implore thee, my foonting turlingdromes

And hooptiously drangle me with crinkly

bindlewurdles

Or I will rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon,

see if I don't!

bun
-- zeno, Mar 26 2005

But now everyone is going to read my "Seafaring Foul Yellow Ball of Morsicant Nancy-boy Dog Vomit" idea completely out of context.
-- Detly, Mar 26 2005

I'm sorry but I'm just not finding anything redeeming about this "idea."
-- bristolz, Mar 26 2005

Just turn on the "smoke" or "snook" parameters upon your machine.
-- skinflaps, Mar 26 2005

Well I've found out what a Snook is, but it hasn't explained anything.
-- wagster, Mar 26 2005

[+ or -] Hell, I don’t know what to do. If I give this a bun, Desert Fox will want to turn it into a movie.
-- ldischler, Mar 26 2005

Hahaha. It seems to be in effect! The words in the idea hav changed!
-- DesertFox, Mar 26 2005

Of course, it would explain something if all the previous occurrences of “foul, yellow dog vomit” have been replaced by “custard,” “feckless seafaring nancy-boy” by “pirate,” etc.
-- DrCurry, Mar 26 2005

// "Oh fruddled gruntbuddly" //

wagster... your intent has merit, though the jist is little more than a rant. I applaud the aim toward originality.
-- waugsqueke, Mar 26 2005

This is akin to the now-discontinued b3ta swear filter, where the various swearwords were automatically replaced with "watermelon", "cranberry" and other assorted fruits. The net effect was that that the board's postings became mired in a sea of notionally hilarious fruit noise. I suspect that, despite the halfbakery's supposedly more mature contributorship, implementation of this similar idea would yield similar results.

Oh and what waugsqueke said.
-- calum, Mar 28 2005

I take back my former criticism. I guess I didn't understand it, or suffered a momentary lapse of intellect (common). So, what waugs says.
-- bristolz, Mar 28 2005

waugs is not always right.
