Product: Binoculars
Better Birder Buddy Binoculars   (+4, -1)  [vote for, against]
with built-in laser pointer

This is not a range-finding laser but one that displays a visible dot to show where you’re looking:
“Wow, check out that Prothonotary warbler, a rare specimen. See my red dot? Wait I see yours – move it up to the left. Whoops I blinded him. He’s lying below on the ground now.”

It's a pity there couldn't be an equivalent for binocular astronomy.

"Look at that group of stars!"
"Which one?"
"Just above all those other stars, and left a bit..."

I thought that too, and was surprised to find that there is. I'll see if I can find a link...

I'm told they tried laser pointer sights on spearguns, but they scared the fish off.
