Bilge Pump Wellies   (0)  [vote for, against]
Dry out without pulling off wellies

Wellington boots, once flooded are a hassle to pour out, involving hopping around looking daft.

Solution: One-way valve in a compressible heel pumps water from toe section (lowest part of boot). It wouldn't cost much to engineer and incorporate.

Added bonus: Would break the vacuum-lock that makes boots get stuck in the mud.

But, but then we couldn't laugh at the ramblers. Don't take that away from me.

I think I'd be forced to fill them up, just for the fun of shooting graceful arcs of water from the toes at every step! FountainBoots? SquirtyShoes?

1 soggy (but well drained) croissant, coming up!

Now, if you can combine this with a device for pulling up socks, then you'll really have a winner!

Yes, keeping socks up while wearing gumboots is a problem, as it tucking in jeans/trousers, it can get quite uncomfortable!
