Bottomless Toaster   (+6)  [vote for, against]
The iPhone of toasters.

Without a bottom, crumbs from this toaster fall onto the counter where they can be swept away. This toaster will never pick up a burning smell or start smoking as soon as you turn it on, like mine does. Additionally, Apple has shown us that there is a market for products with no "right side up". The bottomless toaster can be placed on the counter either way. The rack moves in and out to grip the bread like a normal toaster, but instead of being at the bottom of the rack the endplate is at the center. The charging handle is normally centered on the side of the toaster and it can be pulled either direction so that nomatter which end you put the bread in it will be held by the endplate then move down between the elements.

Not for laminate countertops.

[+] brilliant and shiny.

If you offset the handle, then for one orientation it can handle the larger slices of bread that normally require a few passes on a regular toaster.

Even better if it can be wireless.

Would it be more simple to place this toaster on its side?

Don't be ridiculous

Because it's round.

Will it still be topless though?

you do know that all toasters are bottomless, with a tray to stop crumbs from hitting the counter top right? Does your counter need more crumbs? You know what they say about people who smell burnt toast - better bite a pencil. see link
