Buckamoo   (+1)  [vote for, against]
Because nobody spends time petting cows.

Use a particularly old and slow cow to play a full sized version of Buckaroo.

Just like the original game, you hang strange brightly coloured plastic things off various parts of your bovine friend. Just like the original game, you hope that you can precariously hang more things off the cow than your competitor. Your turn ends when Daisy mooves off slowly back to her pasture, and all of the bits fall off.

The original buckaroo was spring loaded and relied on blind luck, Buckamoo involves petting Daisy and keeping her happy while you play.

Cows need love, man.

Evidently you've never been to a 4H. Baked, I say.

//nobody spends time petting cows//

That is so not true! Croissant anyway. <linky>

All this time, and I didn't realise that you Doctor guys were vets. [DrCurry] are you suggesting that Buckamoo is baked, or simply that people sometimes hug cows?
-- Fishrat, Nov 26 2003

FR: if you'd ever been to a State Fair, you would have found that this is exactly what goes on in the 4H section, where kids dress up rabbits, chickens, pigs, cows, etc. with all sorts of ribbons and other accoutrements in order to win Best of Show prizes. And the animals are thoroughly petted.

I'm half crazy
For a quick game of buckamoo

[DrCurry] I had no idea. What does the 4H bit signify?
-- Fishrat, Nov 27 2003

Or the slightly-sinister variant, Tipamoo.
-- Cedar Park, Nov 27 2003

I thought the idea was going to be to pay a cow one dollar every time it goes "moo".

"What does the 4H bit signify?"

4H club's pledge is: I pledge My Head to clearer thinking My Heart to greater loyalty My Hands to larger service, and My Health to better living For my club, my community, my country and my world. Thus the 4 H's.

Sounds like the masons to me.
-- Fishrat, Nov 28 2003

Masons. With cows. That's it.

(+) On one edition of National Geographic (or was it Reader's Digest) there was a picture of a village carnival, where being held was a game of Cowplop Bingo. Everybody had Bingo cards. The cow was in a pen, there was a Bingo board chalked on the ground, and the cow was fed all kings of goodies - hay, oats, grass, Twinkies, Croissants... you get the picture.
