Business Suit of Chain Mail   (+4, -1)  [vote for, against]

An entire power suit, tie and all, made of links of silver. I say silver because it sounds like something that would immediately catch the attention of a yuppy or stock broker, and it's actually a combination of silver and steel.

You are way behind the times. Most executives, at least, those *proper* executives who constitute the corporate seraphim, are already wearing physically protective garments that are imbued dark and potent magic, garments capable, by manipulation of the telluric currents, of being used to alter the whims and desires of those unknowing of these powers.

Mithril "works" for chainmail because it is, in additin to being impossibly strong, also impossibly light. Silver and steel do not have those advantages. This power suit will be unworkably heavy.

Maybe spider silk will give you what you're after. If you market it is Mithril.

No, I mean it's a type of steel, like surgical steel or stainless steel, made from silver and steel.

From what I've heard of it, it's nowhere as strong and light as fantasy mithril, but is rather shiny.

I've tried to do a web search for it, but I keep getting Runescape discussion forums.

This may or may not be something I read in a book that doesn't exist. I'll just change it to silver.

Made of soda can ring-tabs.

If we make those into clothing, then what are we going to use for improvised currency once the bombs drop? Bottle caps? Let's be serious here.

perhaps carbon nanotube rings, incredible light and strong...

...and quite likely highly carcinogenic.

This is a hot idea -- I am loving the image of businesspeople slogging along through their day, barely able to move and conducting business in slow motion... and being automatically called into the boss's office by a giant magnet...

If the purpose of the suit is simply to catch the eye of co-workers, why not simply ensequin your regular attire?
