Carrot-Hiccup Killer   (+1)  [vote for, against]
Water-filled Carrot

I love carrots in their raw organic form but they give me the hiccups, unless I drink water while eating them. So, putting these two circumstances together, the carrot hiccup killer, a carrot with hollow compartments that contain water. This could be done by breeding hollow carrots and injecting water into them, or by drilling out the carrot. Either way, no moe hiccups, no plastic water bottle waste, awesome carrot snacks, popularization of carrots, etc.

I'm not the only one http://celineparent...nd-hiccups.html?m=1

That's funny, because I've heard that jamming a carrot down your throat is an effective treatment for the hiccups.

Carrots are 87% water anyway, but growing a hollow carrot sounds like an interesting challenge.

Intriguing. From the linked page:

"one woman started a website as a support group for people who get hiccups from raw carrots so that they could feel less alone"

How weird do people have to be in order to require support in order to not feel lonely because carrots give them hiccups?

I once went to a support group for people who feel lonely. It was in the private back room of a busy cafe. No-one else turned up.

Turned up : carrot. There must be some kind of connection.

I'm sure that if we dig far enough, we'll get to the root of it.

Better leaf this one alone. Some people who studied this phenomena had to go underground after others were found to have to have been turned into vegetables.

It's not a tuber!
It's not a tuber, at all.

Let's all just relax and jam out to Taproot.

A promising title but a depressingly prosaic idea.
