Classy Claw Machine   (+4)  [vote for, against]
A claw machine that, instead of being filled with cheap plastic knockoffs, contains interesting and high-quality prizes.

Disclaimer: This might be a WIBNY.

Small prize claw machines are typically filled with cheap, mass- produced trinkets that have little to no actual value and are, frankly, boring and uninteresting. There's no thrill in winning a crane game just to receive a low-quality piece of plastic. In keeping with the tradition of upscaling fondly remembered childhood nostalgia (see links), I suggest a "high-end" claw machine. Like the surprise ball (see third link), this claw machine would be filled with eclectic vintage curios and handmade gadgets. The items in the machine would be one-of-a-kind and hard to get, things that you wouldn't normally be able to buy; the prizes would be packed by hand, with a diverse selection of cool knickknacks carefully curated for each shipment. Of course, the claw machine would have to be a bit more expensive to use, to make up for the higher quality prizes. But I think that a lot of people would be willing to pay five dollars to get something that's fun and unique.

//five dollars// Or 5000, and fill it with real jewelry. A wealthy person, fond of Magic Christian - style entertainment might install a few to liven up a party.
