Collar pockets   (+4)  [vote for, against]
For easy access to your mobile phone

Collar pockets are small flaps in shirt collar points, big enough to hold a mobile phone.
Their advantages over other methods of mobile phone stowage are as follows:
1) Belt-worn holster: Do you really want that much microwave energy that close to your gonads?
2) Jeans pocket: See 1)
3) Jacket pocket: Who wears a jacket?
4) Shirt breast pocket: Not pretty if you're already fairly well-endowed. Or female.

Other advantages include improved Bluetooth performance.

//I wear a jacket//
But don't you get endless hassle from your tailor (or your butler) about how the phone ruins the hang of your exquisitely-cut togs?

you'd look like Harry Hill.

//1) Belt-worn holster: Do you really want that much microwave energy that close to your gonads?// Do you really want that much microwave energy that close to your thyroid?

That was my first thought, too. Or maybe my second. (The first one was that having a hard small piece of plastic banging into your throat or neck will feel awful.)

I'm wondering whether someone might do gun-style underarm holsters for cellphones, though. 'Cos the other thugs will think you're packin'.

Better, shirley, on the upper arm. But then it's a pain if you do wear a jacket. And, [Absinthe], if your tailor can't adjust his cut to suit your lifestyle, you really need to switch.

//I take it that this invention is intended for men then?//

I took it that this invention was intended for fetuses. Once you're out of the woomb, the gonads have been converted to either testicles or ovaries.

Of course, the term is sometimes used as a gender-neutral term for the naughty bits of either sex.

I personally have cargo pants. I'm not too terribly concerned about getting thigh cancer... Well, not at the moment anyway. I guess there are still bluetooth problems with this placement though.
