Corona virus health info ads, Burma Shave style

The Burma Shave adverts were very successful in their simple delivery method. For those who don't know about them, they consisted of a series of simple limited word messages, spaced out at intervals along the highways of the USA.(see wiki link)

This would work really well as a reminder for those who need it; to wash their hands and stay in quarantine while coronavirus ravages the planet.

There was an old man of Stroud Green
Who thought he had COVID-19.
His throat was red-raw
But his hoard would ensure
That his bottom was perfectly clean.

^ BUN !

A toilet roll hoarder in Wyre
Didn't twig that TV was a liar
Thus, late one dark night
His stash all caught light
And he got burned to death by the fire ...

All good.... But the final word has to be coronavirus. It doesn't need to rhyme, but the sequence has to build towards it.

"We're doomed ! We're doomed !"
The papers cried,
But in the end
Not many died ...

Now with quick illustration - see link.... I also just noticed that Coronavirus is an anagram of Carnivorous. How appropriate is that as it eats through the population?
-- xenzag, Mar 24 2020

Eats? Nibbles.... 0.3% mortality isn't exactly an attack by a Great White....

"Cure yourself,"
He tried to teach
And now the dead
Are filled with bleach.
