Crane Barge   (0)  [vote for, against]
To help alleviate the traffic in a city

Giant cranes are used in the construction of buildings which are taken down after the building is done.

But they don't have to be. These swinging suspension bridges could be used to ferry cars a few blocks out of heavy congestion and into parking garages and or other places. 6 cars couldn't possibly equal the weight of one of some of the I-beams being used in construction.

For a couple of dollars, they fit your car into a wheel catch and then you and 3 other cars are wisked away for a birds eye view and some other part of the city.

The electromagnet would probably be better from underneath.

I think that securing the cars to the crane might be what caused the congestion anyway. Would be a lot more fun than driving though.

Back when I worked in the oil patch, before workers comp cracked down, we used to get lifts across the sight on the crane's hook. I highly recomend it.

if office blocks were designed with large open windows, you could be swung, car and all, straight into your office. step out and you're at your desk.

in evolutionary terms, we're in serious danger of losing the use of our legs through lack of exercise as it is, etherman.

And when they wither not just our hands will be dragging on the ground.
