Digital scale cell phone.

A flip phone that has a scale built in. Open the scale program, drop whatever item needs weighed on the keypad and thats that.

Basically, they announced a smartphone that can weigh stuff. [rascalraidex, Sep 03 2015]

I think this is possible on a touchscreen because some have load cells at the corners to detect where you pressed, but keys are usually bubble switches. Obvious neither can take much weight so would have limited use. I think someone even did this for the Apple Newton.

Just...don't drop too much.

How about connecting a hanging fish scale type cable from the side of the phone? That would be very cool.

Well... they gone done did it..

Well, that's... interesting.

What they ought to add to phones would be (a) an infra-red diode, so the phone can be used as a programmable remote controller and (b) a Geiger counter.
