Dismiss note   (+1)  [vote for, against]
Send a line or paragraph to another location to keep notes clean without having to delete potentially useful notes

I don't want to delete notes, but I want to send them elsewhere easily without needing to copy and paste them or having to close the existing note and navigate to a destination then navigate back

Example, please.

In this context what is a note?

I write in Google Keep

In Google Keep there is free text field

It might be confusing because I am referring to independent lines of text to mean a note but Google keep says the whole document is a note.

I write sentences and paragraphs on my mobile device (an Android phone)

I am in depth writing about something and then I realise something is worth keeping but no longer important where it is So I want to move it somewhere else. Doing manually requires trying to select the paragraph or sentence with my phone and then copying and then closing that note/file and navigating to a destination note and then scrolling to where it should go and then pasting.

Dismiss note just sends that content to another Google Keep note/file and lets me stay where I was since Google keep doesn't remember where I scrolled to

OK... I recognise that problem. But I find that "somewhere else" is not enough; it needs to be integrated into a structure where I have some hope of finding it again when I need it, probably tied into a to-do list.

You could have an inbox where uncategorised notes go (where note = a paragraph, sentence or all nit s under a heading)

Then there is buttons for each most used category and a search for categories which includes heading searches
