Drone-mounted Egg Beater   (+4, -1)  [vote for, against]
With indoor GPS

There is a new indoor GPS that uses wifi that will make this not the kind of messy or expensive thing it could be. Drone- mounted egg beater.

Resisting the torque could be tricky. But interestingly whimsical anyway.

Eyes to tell whites from yolks?

[RayfordSteele] // Resisting the torque could be tricky. //

Just have two motors, each attached to a separate beater, and turning in opposite directions.

Added later: Better yet, would be to use one motor plus gears to drive the two beaters in opposite directions.

// Resisting the torque could be tricky. //

Resistance is futile ...

What about capacitance ?
-- 8th of 7, Apr 06 2016

That's a highly charged topic
-- hippo, Apr 06 2016

Don't expect us to hand you the answer to that on a plate.

Watt again? HB has an Ample supply of pun threads already.
-- Voice, Apr 06 2016

Yeah, but some of us are right at ohm in a thread like this.
-- normzone, Apr 06 2016

That's Currently the case, but don't Gauss on and on about it. Joule get yourself into trouble.
-- 8th of 7, Apr 06 2016

I can see this idea has potential

So many bad puns. I'm shocked.

Anode of caution - we could be accused of droning on and on...
-- Canuck, Apr 07 2016

We're just building up a battery of material to draw from. No need to take flight yet.
-- normzone, Apr 07 2016

Presuming this will be some kind of helicopter (a plane being unable to hover, and a blimp not having enough lifting capacity), I think the downdraft might blow the eggs away.
-- notexactly, Apr 07 2016

Actually, aircraft ARE capable of hovering - it only requires the appropriate conditions and an experienced pilot. I have witnessed it on two occasions.

I'm certain it's not a comfortable drill, but it can be done.
-- normzone, Apr 08 2016

//Helicopters are aircraft too, you know.//

That's debatable. I think of them as accident precursors.

//Actually, aircraft ARE capable of hovering//

I've seen gliders landing into a strong headwind with a ground speed of about -5mph.
-- bs0u0155, Apr 08 2016

// I think of them as accident precursors. //

We consider them nothing more than a damn-fool way to commit suicide. All helicopter pilots are clinically insane.

// gliders landing into a strong headwind //

The Fieseler Storch has such exceptional low-speed stability that there are numerous examples (some on film) of passengers embarking and disembarking when the aircraft is still in the air - but barely moving relative to the ground.

This isn't the "leaping from a moving Lysander" kind of stunt - it's much more sedate and decorous.
-- 8th of 7, Apr 08 2016

Yes, but those passengers would feel pretty silly if the wind suddenly changed.
-- MaxwellBuchanan, Apr 08 2016

Lovely planes. The uncanny resemblance to the Storch is of course complete coincidence...
-- 8th of 7, Apr 08 2016

But can you tell Stork from Porter?
