electric blanket delivers increasingly dangerous electric shocks until you get out of bed. Only turns off if you are out of bed. If you get back in within half an hour, starts up again. Wake up or die.

I thought of something like this also, it is a good idea. Consider though, that some people may loose control of their bladders after the first shock. This could deliver a fatal shock a little too early.
