Explosive boil remover   (+6)  [vote for, against]

Acupuncture is largely harmless, relatively painless, and is not effective against boils. This idea differs from acupuncture in three important respects.

Your EBR kit contains a slim (though not as slim as you might wish) needle, the tip of which is coated with a small yet adequately sufficient quantity of acetone peroxide or other primary explosive.

Leading from the back end of the needle are two fine wires, a few feet long, connected to a cigarette-pack- sized red box with the customary T-shaped handle.

Shaped charge versions are under development.

TATP is relatively easy to make and has been used in suicide attacks and in improvised explosive devices. Due to its high susceptibility to accidental detonation by shock, friction, or sparks [normzone, Aug 13 2012]

OK, which fool bunned this?

not I: I'd go with a small injection of nitroglycerine. Flick it and shazam, boil b'gone.

Nitrogen Triiodide.

Paint it on, allow it to dry, gingerly touch it, cackle at the satisfying pop, nod sagely at the bonus disinfecting purple cloud.

I had a boiler that explosively removed itself.

Ruthlessly effective! [+]

(C'mon, [Max], you knew I'D bun this, right? The only thing that would make it better is if you found a way to incorporate a cat into the idea.)

Make it for work for toe corns too, and I'll bun it.

//incorporate a cat into the idea// We are working on a larger model for the removal of unsightly cats. Watch this space. Meanwhile, wear a hard-hat if you're outdoors during product testing.

Any abuse of cats will attract me as an implacable, devious and totally relentless opponent.
-- xenzag, Aug 14 2012

Excellent! That's the sort of opponent we need. Placable, vious and totally relentfull ones are no fun.

// Any abuse of cats will attract me as an implacable, devious and totally relentless opponent //

However, abuse of cats will attract us as an implacable, devious and totally relentless protector, so come in [xen], let's see what ya got ...

Whatever happened to Curare darts?

By the way: for "boils", when I was 17 my mother convinced me after a long time of "burning them", to take Avipur (vitamin A) in the morning and evening before my meal, and Evitol (vitnal E) in the afternoon, an hour after lunch. Within a week they simply disappeared without leaving a trace.

It's a shame the same can't be said for the cats.
-- Grogster, Aug 17 2012

Your mother and your lunch disappeared? That's a terrible story!
