Feminizing Kit   (+4, -1)  [vote for, against]
Switches percieved genders of inanimate objects

I have a little girl, aged 7.

She's a girly girl, and basks in everything girly. Girly video games, girly clothes, girly toys. Everything has pink or lavender. She would never touch boys toys- her Lego kit contains pink pieces because of this.

She likes playing the airplane game that comes with WII sports, so I bought her a quadracopter for Christmas. The toy is doomed to disuse unless she perceives it to be a girls toy, so I plan on feminizing it and its package.

I am planning on sticking a couple of pink heart or Hello Kitty stickers on the toy. Any one know where I can get a sticker for the package that says something like "For Girls Only!" or "Girls Version!"?

I want a kit that contains all the aforementioned stickers.

If you paint the propellers pink, you might affect its aerodynamics.

Do you have a printer, 'cos you could just make some, you know?

Me I take the Goldieblox song angle. Pinkification of everything that is 'girly' just demeans girls.

Pink spray paint is available at most stores. Whilst I agree with [Rayford] it would be OK to paint over the ugly orange parts of the quadracopter.

They should do this to riot gear to make the police seem more empathetic in sensitive situations.

[Ray], if your girl is already pinkified, then if pink Lego gets her into Lego that's a good thing. Pink-pressure is a social thing that parents don't have total control over. It would be nice if pinkification were gone, but that's more than one parent can accomplish.

RayfordSteele- Changing this aspect of her personality isn't one of my priorities. I try to pick my battles.

I suspect that the colour pink per se is a ... red herring. I suspect that the problem to be solved here has more to do with peer pressure. Is there any chance of roping in her best friends' parents?

One of my daughters plays with a non-pastel-coloured R/C helicopter - but, to my shame, I have failed to interest her in tinkering with it when it malfunctions.

I like JesusHChrists idea. Maybe feathers too. Fur. Gentle things. Good smells too.
