Taking the idea of the "eHymnal" (q.v.) a bit farther.... imagine a church where, during services, you do NOT turn your smartphone off, because it's part of the service... not only do you bring the hymns up on your screen, but when it's time to pray you enter your particular supplications into an app and they're anonymously displayed on the large projection screen so everyone can join in... the preacher gets immediate feedback on his/her sermons, and answers questions on the fly... the collection is done in Bitcoin...
