Flytraits   (+5, -2)  [vote for, against]
attract flies and make portraits

Fly paper is nasty stuff, but it doesn't have to be. Clegg Geuvara is just one variation from a substantial range of image building fly papers collectively known as Flytraits. (where I live the nastiest of biting horse flies are called cleggs)

Here's how it works. Each sheet of paper conceals an image, printed using an almost totally clear version of the horrible fly attracting glue. The type of glue used in Flytraits results in the instant, humane death of these voracious beasties.

As the nasty cleggs land, they gradually build up a graphic picture of a famous portrait. In the case of Clegg Geuvara, the image which gradually builds is the classic graphic of Ché Geuvara.

When complete you can have your own revolutionary poster made entirely from cleggs. (see link)

We call them "cleggs" [xenzag, May 15 2019]

Paper view, I presume?

You could sell this glue to paint mustaches and beards on posters and billboards. I apologize for dragging down the 'high art' aspects of your novel and worthy idea [xenzag]

Ooh, ooh! It would also make for good pranks on sleeping companions when on camping expeditions.

You've an evil mind, lAusCan531].

We could chanel these power's of evil to the good! Correcting Grossers' apostolytes everywhere!

Seems a lot simpler than randomly gluing ants down, one at a time...

Inspired. And probably worth millions one day as conceptual art

Fly paper ought to be banned. You're a fly, you land on the fly paper, and there you stay. Struggling, perhaps tearing off the odd limb or two, waving your remaining limbs helplessly as you slowly starve to death over the course of a couple of days.

I agree. Glue traps for mice are even worse.
-- xenzag, May 15 2019

Maybe the traps need a euthanasia component? And a sealer occasionally.

// You're a fly, you land on the fly paper, and...// This is called starting from a false premise. A common logical mistake. If you were to pay more attention you would realise that I am not actually a fly.
-- pocmloc, May 19 2019

Yes, well, you would say that, wouldn't you?
-- MaxwellBuchanan, May 19 2019

This is actually very clever.
