Food Fungus Detector   (0)  [vote for, against]
A portable device to scan food labels for evidence of fungus

I read the tiny print of the ingredient labels, but still sometimes discover that the tasty-looling meal I just microwaved is contaminated by fungus, otherwise known as "mushrooms" I find these nearly as revolting as finding dead bugs or cat turds in my soup..

Wanted: A pocket text scanner that could be swiped across the ingredients label. The presence of the string: "mushroom" turns the indicator red. None foudn, green.

Half-Baked, if you count mushrooms as included by "other bad things". [DrCurry, Oct 17 2004]

Can it have a dead animal setting? It scares me when packaging lists "natural flavor" as an ingredient.
