Enough with the gummi-animals! I want my gummi hat!

Gummi food is undeniably tasty. The problem I have is that I can only get gummi worms, bears, o's, and fruits. I may have missed one or two, but point is, these are old hat. I want to eat my gummi-stapler!

Seems reasonable - novelty sweets are great, like those gummy-fried eggs or sweetie cigarettes. Half the fun of the sweet is that it doesn't look like a sweet, though I know sweetie cigarettes are not very pc these days.

- "Ow!"
- "Sorry, I thought they were gummi-genitalia"

I discovered gummis as a youngster in Germany long before they were introduced to the U.S. Later, back in the U.S., I imported Gummi Bears from Germany for fund-raising efforts. I still love all things gummi, and occasionally resurrect my efforts to persuade my wife that gummis are The Perfect Food (along with cherries), and deserve their own food group on the food pyramid. In a small way, I consider myself a gummivangelist.

So I will vote for this idea, even though over the years, there are precious few shapes I have not seen in gummi form (mostly in Germany), so it is pretty nearly baked.

Didn't [benfrost] have his own idiosyncratic take on this?

Actually, hippo, gummi-genitalia do exist. Our choir recently endowed the director with a package of these as a joke.

Oh those crazy choir folk! (One member of our choir regularly passes around a jar of brandied dates.)

I'd like to have an actual-size gummi-1959 Cadillac hearse.

Isn't that your dream girl, waugs: a brandied date?
-- bristolz, Mar 28 2002

She's more of a vodka type.

-- [ sctld ], Mar 28 2002

If you use gummi vodka, do you end with a gummi-tini?
-- bobzaguy, Mar 29 2002

Old-fashioned gummis are nice, but beer gummis are cheaper.
