Make a wish!

Halfbakery to you.
Halfbakery to you.

Halfbakery to you.
-- baconbrain, Jan 13 2008

I don't know when [jutta]'s birthday is, and the official Halfbakery anniversary is a ways off. But my birthday is today.

[jutta], thanks for this place.

Merry Birthday, Bacon.

[+] Giving you the bun for shameless self-promotion. I like the cut of your jib.
-- Letsbuildafort, Jan 14 2008

Thanks, all. The kind words and thoughts are very greatly appreciated. I came up with the song some time ago, and was going to wait for the Halfbakery's birthday, but decided to go ahead, just because it was my birthday. I really didn't expect so much attention and advice. I spent the day with family, and had a lovely time, thank you.

Hanging out here for a bit was good, too. That's what I wanted to thank [jutta] for.

Factoid: The "Happy Birthday" song we all know was originally "Good Morning To You", which is why the words don't fit.
-- baconbrain, Jan 15 2008

"Good Morning To All" actually, and the melody is under copyright in the USA until 2030. But don't worry, the Song Police won't raid any 'murrican kid's birthday party unless it's on live TV.

<and belated wishes for many more b'days, Rabbi Conan.>
-- Canuck, Jan 15 2008

In 89 years of US copyright law, there have been 122 years of extension. Hooray.
