Heads up Gyro Wig   (+1)  [vote for, against]
drowse without drooping

Finally a product to cure nodding, bobbing, dipping and even jerking of the head after a night of partying, studying or baking! Whether sitting in a meeting, at the opera or visiting the in-laws, you can look wide awake while fast asleep.

Yes, that’s right, don this spinning hairpiece and snooze away with no risk of nap whiplash or a doze egg on your face. The secret is a revolving wig of optical fibers. As the shimmering strands swirl around the headband at 1800 rpm, stroboscopic LEDs illuminate them 30 times a second, making the hair appear to stand still.

The rotating mass acts as a gyroscope, helping you keep your head upright. Turn on the twirling toupee before entering the room, place the battery cushion under you and no one will be the wiser. Even eventual zzzzing will be masked by the dervish device’s soft buzzing.

This should include an automatic response machine. You can record some standard, multi-usable (is this a word?) comment, triggered when your name is mentioned so while you're asleep you can still pretend you're following a conversation. Your own laughter will be triggered when others laugh, and so on.

Boy, that hair piece sure looks real! Sign me up!

This would make an excellent Wimhurst machine; just run the electrostatic leads down to my fingers for that Emperor Palpatine effect.
