"Okay, I'd rather be inside."

For those days, when you have to stay inside while the weather is nice outside, transducers mounted on the windows and sync'd LED lighting provides a realistic thunder and lightning rainstorm effect, so you don't resent being indoors.

I saw a home "rainbow maker" at the toy store today. That would be nice to have after your thunderstorm.

Lets go all the way, including humidifiers, a recycling sprinkler system for the windows, and a means of generating negative ions.

Nice [+] and halfbaked.

Not sure how well //transducers... and ... LEDs// would do the job; I suspect it would require a good home theatre system with awesome subwoofers to replicate a real thunderstorm.

Little known trivia: the first film soundtrack reproduced in Dolby Digital 5.1 was a recording of a thunderstorm!

[+] for [blissmiss]' and [normzone]'s annos.

//real thunderstorm// mostly all you'd need would be the sound of rain on the window/roof.

Requirements: Sound of wind and rain; lightning (xenon flash); Thunder (special sound system); low overcast (grey filters).

For added realism the lights should flicker occasionally.

//lights should flicker// err... I had in mind being used to catch up on paperwork or downtime, not an excuse to hide in the storm-shelter... though it's always nice to have that option I suppose. § x1

Presumably the X-trEme package includes realistic simlation of a limb from next doors' huge old oak tree crashing through your roof and destroying the front bedroom? Should be doable with some explosive charges wired to the control box, and an inflatable tree trunk actuated by a compressed air cylinder would make it so much more realistic. Also a Van de Graaff generator could be included to send disabling shocks down the telephone wires to fry your computer.

[+] I'd run mine every day. Electrical storm is one of my favorite weathers.

I love rain, and playing the sound of it on my computer speakers just isn't the same. [+]
