Robotic Taxidermy

Lets stuff our pets and put robotoic skeletons inside them so we can still play with them! They could even put an artifical bowel system in there (these things do exist), so that they could eat and crap all over the place. That's fantastic!

Beanie baby taxidermy http://www.halfbake..._20baby_20taxidermy
pretty much the same, but no crapping and maybe therefore did better [FarmerJohn, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 05 2004]

What's fantastic?

No robot will ever be able to crap all over the place like Lola does.
-- luecke, Jun 04 2004

But, one day, luecke, lola ain't gonna be crapping anymore...

Not so much bad as misguided.

I'd quite like my pet to rest in peace! My dear sweet friend / pet / cat died yesterday, this would freak me out.

we can do robots without real pets.

My goldfish died recently. Now, where's that robotic fish skeleton? Oh, here it is!! (-)

[CF] - that made me laugh. :)

I don't like the thought of good ol' Mac being a robot, but take out the 'stuf our pets' bit, and i like it. I would feed it artificial food though so it hopefully produces artificial crap. Or else id program iti to clean up after itself...idea forming. this would be great. just program him to crap and clean it all day long. i would just watch him for hours.

... oh yeah

Top marks [daseva]! When Sammo pops his clogs I'm going to hang his skin off a Sony AIBO and have him wander about the house. I will photograph the face of each of my friends as the realisation dawns and put them all up on a web page for you.
