Is It Really A Fish?   (+24, -10)  [vote for, against]
In association with the fish guillotine

This game to be played with several cleanly cut fish heads. Take one and find an appropriate object such as a french stick (freshly baked) - place the fish head at one end and leave beside the shoreline. Run and hide and watch to see what happens when a fisherperson stumbles upon it.

If you are brave, approach the startled onlooker and explain that they have found a new type of fish. "It must be a bread fish" you can say. If they reply with "Is it really a fish?", you have won two points and should be awarded a brightly coloured ribbon.

Other objects to consider placing a fish head onto are -

- an uncooked chicken

- a stuffed animal (head removed)

- another fish head.

This game could be a special treat for children's parties.

Yes, it really is a fish!

The only thing missing is a way to attach the fish head firmly to the objet d'joke so that when it's picked up it remains all of a piece. I like this a lot.

I like it! Hours of fun for the whole family who live near a large body of water.

A wider view would make other fish handling persons the target of deceit. A fishmonger or a seafood restaurant chef. There could be a worldwide league of Is it really a fish? players. This idea is endless.

Bonus points can involve the creativity of the names that you come up with for the faux fish, scored by panel review from an independent committee of Fish/Not-A-Fish experts.

To which I respond: "No, it's a croissant!"

The title reminded me a little of a radio quiz a while back in the UK called Fish or Fowl - marvellous programming... Anyway, I digress: CROISSANT!

But surely you risk waiting for hours, and no-one picks up the object? This sounds boring.

Ok then, do it in a shopping mall.

A much better idea wagster -- all be it slightly confined to opening hours -- and the occasional annoying janitor whisking away your construction.
