Idea: Glaze and fire a plate with what looks like a piece of stuck brocolli or something sticky into the plate. it is glazed into it so the only way to get it off will be with a hammer and chizzel, which, if given to me and i didn't know, i would probably resort to this.

i think the most pain-inducing joke like this would be something on the bottom of a mug or cup, making it a little harder to get at.
