Might look a bit like that bit in 2001: A Space Odyssey

Aside from Atlas, Alice, CMS and LHCb, this large arbitrary apparatus comes into play once the important, paradigm shifting data has been successfully accrued. A long tube of circulating mirrors bounces the beams into cascading patterns of photonic symmetry, the result of which is photographed/filmed from within.
