Lava-Lamp Handrails   (+9, -1)  [vote for, against]

Another good reason to use the stairs.

mmmmm sliding down the bannisters with a warm behind, nice.

A double skinned, reinforced tube will take care of insulation, and provide the necessary strength to support po's descending bum. (would you like ridges?)

No need for pumps. Simple continuous heat convection will cause the melted wax to ascend to the highest point and tumble down past the rising blobs, same as it does in the classic Lava-lamp.

ridges might provide an interesting diversion. I quite like variation in my bannister sliding.

does my bun look big in this?

Some stairs have dual rails, one for the tall and one for the short. In such a system, the upper rail could be heated, facilitating the ascent of lava. The lower would not, and cooling lava and fluid would return down the stairs.
