Glowing wonders!

A straightforward idea: this toilet is made of fused lucite rods. Looking thru the side it would be translucent but not see-thru. The lucite rods conduct light, which is emitted from their ends where they terminate at the bowl interior. Splashes in the bowl would appear to flash with transmitted light.

As I think about it, it might provide a better visual to have the outside of the toilet be mirrored chrome.

Similar idea, but using nasty chemicals. [bungston, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 05 2004]

Baked- Vindaloo does this to my toilet.

Pump the rods with a powerful laser. As soon as dirt settles and light is coupled out of a rod the laser blows it off. Also warms the toilet seat.

Warning: Do not stare into the toilet. Laser radiation can be harmful to your eyes.

High maintainence, but given the money, I'd buy one.

I suspect that abrasive toilet cleaners would pretty quickly scratch up the interior, giving it a frosted surface. Apart from that, gee, I dunno. Are there any glass toilets out there in the real world?
