Whenever I buy an expensive foamy coffee, I get the opportunity to disencumber the caffeine purveyors of one or more of those little wooden lollypop style stirrers.

I've now amassed a collection of around 30 of these things, and quite naturally, would really, really like to use them to craft a little office trebuchet.

What I need are some miniature nails, a saw, a tiny tape-measure and various other items I can use to make good my design.

I'm not sure where 'avail' came from - (I think I could have availed myself a lollypop) Would I have gotten away with 'alleviating' the coffee chain? - Still doesn't sound quite right though. A thesaurus suggests that 'disencumber' might be more appropriate, and it sounds better too - on account of it sounding similar to cucumber (edited).

BTW, it is quite easy to weave them into a respectable representation of a portcullis, for you to trundle your trebuchet through.

I've been interlacing them into various star-shaped things that explode satisfyingly when thrown at Jerry, but might have a go at a portcullis next.
