Melting Email   (+5)  [vote for, against]
The day after the big event the invite should just disapear.

Say you invite 5000 of your closest friends to your product launch at Friday 6pm via email. 15 people show and the launch is a big success.

The next day Saturday at 9am all 5000 invites should just melt and disappear into the ether.

Feb 22 The only "how" that occurs to me is to mess with the date time stamp in the sending email program to say "please melt me and when". Say Capitalize or not the AM or pm.

The receivers email program would have to interpret the message and decide how to do the melting. Simpler the better.

I liked the sergeant's anno best.

Easy to implement. Just get google's attention (or MS's) and add an expiry date. After three years, if you were not able to get the big guys to do it, just create a browser add-on that looks for expiry date sets it to never if you responded affirmatively and deletes the email otherwise when it expires.

The only problem is that after 2017 nobody will install your add-on because by then nobody will know what email is.
