Mislaying Aversion Therapy   (-4)  [vote for, against]
The ultimate solution is not to wander off in the first place

Forget beepers and flashing lights, what I want to attach to my glasses/keyring is a passive position sensor that an electroshock device can periodically check the range of. Straying beyond a pre-set distance then delivers a spike of pain to a convenient area of sensitive tissue. The greatest advantage is that after a few weeks, you are no longer reliant on the machine's assitance, because you are trained to always keep a careful note of where your possessions are located anyway.

Um, how long have you had these masochistic fantasies?

My wife would be a drooling idiot inside twenty minutes. (Glasses in bathroom, glasses case on kitchen table, reading glasses underneath keyboard, reading glasses case underneath junior cat...)
I had aversion therapy once, but I mislaid it.

How does it know the difference between "I forgot it" and "I'm putting it down because I don't need it right now"?
