Mouse Cord Anchor   (+1, -2)  [vote for, against]
Mouse cord anchor allows for rapid elastic powered motions

Now that mouse cords are disappearing it is the perfect time to introduce Mouse Cord Anchor. This anchor is placed after a short section of the mouse cord closest to the mouse, so the springy action of the cord against the anchor allows for rapid motion.

What does it do?

Makes the mouse a dynamic object.

Is this a kind of mouse treadmill, designed to give the user more exercise?
-- not_morrison_rm, Apr 07 2013

You should know you're the one thinking about it.

Tie me musculus down mate, tie me musculus down...

I asked you first.

Maybe you should be the other guy.
-- rcarty, Apr 07 2013

I think therefore he is.

A guy walks into a bar, and some other guy makes it a joke.

I haven't been anyone's imaginary friend before. Is there a manual?
-- not_morrison_rm, Apr 08 2013

[not_morrison] There might be a manual in Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. [see link]
As for the idea - I'm seeing a mouse trebuchet weighted down by Popeye.

...bring lepidoidis round now, and tie me musculus down...

This would have also helped with that thing where the mouse cord slides off the back of the desk, taking up all the slack, so when you try to move the mouse towards you the cord tugs annoyingly. A predictable, springy tug might be slightly less annoying.
