Nifty Slan-Cap   (+6, -1)  [vote for, against]
Slan-like tendrils on one's head can be used for small item storage.

In A.E. Van Vogt's classic science fiction novel "Slan", the eponymous race of beings are telepaths with prehensile tendrils on their heads. But having many flexible tendrils on your head would be useful for purposes other than telepathy.

My Nifty Slan-Cap is a hat covered in many short, flexible lengths of wire, or "tendrils". Whenever I have to carry something small—a pencil, a ping pong ball, some spare change—I stick it on my head and wrap some tendrils around it, and my hands are free for other activities.
