You're lying!

Nice effect, but how does it work exactly, or even indirectly?

Adsorptive stripping voltammetry with multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) based screen-printed electrodes wired to butane valve and piezo ignition unit. Electronics and butane canister stored in back pockets.

Women never understand that I lie to them because my pants are on fire; therefore being truthful about lying and about the hot sauce.

I don't think it is magic at all. My suggested mechanism is for the pants themselves to be equipped, so that any hot sauce applied to them causes conflagration. The opposite arrangment (as proposed, sorry for my deviance) would be possible with some reagent woven into the fabric of the garment. For example a pair of sodium pants would burn when hot sauce was applied, but also with any other watery liquid.
