Poo-pourri for the toilet bowl

Sometimes your toilet bowl isn't as clean as you'd like it to be. But you have guests due to arrive any minute! What to do? Grab a handful of poo-pourri and sprinkle it in the loo. I suppose it would be scented with floral, pine and citrus flavours (though why these are the most popular I dont know - we could get more creative) and would float in the bowl, obscuring any unsightly streak-marks or yellow water stains. It would have to be re-sprinkled after a flush of course. But how to keep it from getting soggy and sinking?

Yech. Just clean your toilet.

You'd have to make it water-repellant and lightweight, neither one out of the question. Mold the material into fake rose petals or lotus blossoms and you've got a winner.

Why not use actual rose petals (dried or fresh)? They'll float, for a while at least.

Interestingly, "potpourri" is French for "rotten pot," which seems to be an apt description of the smell you're trying to cover up.
