Putty de foie gras   (0)  [vote for, against]
For [xenzag]

Paté de foie gras is a delicious meaty paste made from the livers of overfed geese.

Putty is a pliable, slow-setting waterproof sealant made from a carefully proportioned blend of finely powdered chalk, and linseed oil.

Putty de foie gras is an interesting confection designed to be used as a weapon by militant vegetarians against unreconstructed recidivistic carnivores. It's made from carefully proportioned blend of finely powdered chalk, and goose fat.

If spread thickly on toast, tastes somewhat unpleasant, and in any quantity makes the consumer quite remarkably ill.

If used for installing glazing - domestic or commercial - it rots quickly, smells utterly disgusting, and causes your windows to fall out.

The superficial resemblance between the putty packaging and Rentisham's is purely coincidental.

<small voice> we thought you would like it <small voice/>

It's more of a prank than a recipe.

You're no fun any more. It just goes to prove that vegetarians are invarably gloomy, self-righteous, humorless killjoys.

Hitler was a vegetarian, you know...

Pol Pot ate loads of meat, so what? Your love of Trump places you in the Hitler camp.
-- xenzag, Oct 10 2020

Ahh, the Hitler line. Is there any argument it can't win?

On the (very small) off chance that you two are actually a couple, I think a reality show of your home life would be a smash hit.

We already did The Odd Couple.

// Is there any argument it can't win? //

It didn't do very well against the Red Army after 1942 ...

I never thought I would feel impelled to offer the Borg a hug.

It goes to show how genuinely upset [8th] was that he put the forward slash at the wrong end of the closing tag of the pseudo-XML.

// On the (very small) off chance that you two are actually a couple//..... I already have two cats and a number of others who visit frequently, and besides, I doubt if 8th is litter trained. I might consider him for a role as 'roof scuttler' - that being a small, hairless and mostly brainless type of low maintenance rodent that spends its time scuttling around on the roof tiles, scrapping off the moss and cleaning the gutters, as the cats watch bemused while sleeping indoors on the warm radiators.

// scrapping off the moss and cleaning the gutters, //

Do you have particularly aggressive moss round your way ?

Don't know about gutters, but we're looking forward to cleaning your clock at some point ...

//offer the Borg a hug //

You don't know what you've been missing...
