Replacement for LGBT   (+3, -1)  [vote for, against]
It's just not quite inclusive enough.

I suggest that LGBT be replaced with the equally-practical LGIQUQCP23TAPPOSNGGAABBEETTT+SaCa

For the unenlightened: Lesbian, Gay, Intersex, Queer, Unsure, Questioning, Curious, Pangender, Two-spirit, Third gender, Trigender, Androgyne, Pomosexual, Pansexual, Omnisexual, Same-gender lover, Non-heterosexual, Genderfuck, Genderqueer, Asexual, Agender, Bisexual, Bigender, Ex-gay, Ex-ex-gay, Transvestite, Transsexual, Transgender (Plus) Straight allies, Cisgender allies.

//For the unenlightened://

Wait. You think HBakers are unenlightened?

I got it, didn't you, Everybody?

Not sure this will catch on, but have a bun. [+]

you forgotPtDOWaA ... "prefers to define one's self with an acronym".
-- FlyingToaster, Oct 15 2010

I think the problem is that it sounds too much like bacon, lettuce and tomato.
-- nineteenthly, Oct 15 2010

I always get the two confused.
-- doctorremulac3, Oct 15 2010

There are three, not two
-- pocmloc, Oct 15 2010

How about just "NYAH"?
-- MaxwellBuchanan, Oct 15 2010

How about we just call the snarly segment "old farts", and let the interesting people get on with their lives.

"Genderfuck"? Dare I search for that?
-- baconbrain, Oct 15 2010

What was wrong with ENTH = Everyone Not Totally Hetero?
-- infidel, Oct 15 2010

It's redundant with "NYAH" - not your average heterosexual.
-- MaxwellBuchanan, Oct 15 2010

Ah, but then you wouldn't be able to specify your subset of proclivities to the ENTH degree.
-- infidel, Oct 15 2010

Should the acronym not also cover political affiliations, dietary requirements, sporting interests, age and religion?

In the end, it might be simpler just to meet the person.
-- MaxwellBuchanan, Oct 15 2010

People Espousing Outlandish Proclivities, Lovingly Embraced
-- infidel, Oct 15 2010

What's love got to do with it?

// Should the acronym not also cover political affiliations, dietary requirements, sporting interests, age and religion? //

And [MaxB] nails it again.

I am going to go visit my parents this weekend. Do I need to come out to them about my wife and I trying out a different kind of cheese? We are Smoked Goudaists now, and I think they should know.
-- baconbrain, Oct 15 2010

You said SMOKED Gouda? STRING UP THE EVIL ONE!!
-- MaxwellBuchanan, Oct 15 2010

Better than smoked gouda flavour slices.
-- pocmloc, Oct 15 2010

No, those are OK.
-- MaxwellBuchanan, Oct 15 2010

Mmmmmm, cheese, mmmmmm .....
-- 8th of 7, Oct 15 2010

I've never really gotten on with the LBGT(q) thing. I always felt that the stronger strategy was focusing on similarities, commonalities and liberties, rather than "I'M DIFFERENT". Doesn't prevent me from being an active supporter. This idea is crap however.
-- WcW, Oct 16 2010

The letters need to be randomly reordered every time they're used, so no group feels less important. For best results, they should be reordered every time they're looked at.
-- Aq_Bi, Oct 16 2010

//In the end, it might be simpler just to meet the person.//

This is the correct answer, of course, for meeting a person. But, there are occasions when wants to refer to a group or have one's own group referred to in an inclusive, respectful way. In other words, there is a need for such an acronym or mnemonic.

This idea proposes to aggregate too many groups. I'm still bunning it for the effort and recognition of Genderfuck. Not sure that's a group, but what the hey...
-- Boomershine, Oct 16 2010

//"Genderfuck"? Dare I search for that?//

Probably not at work. And if you do, be sure to turn your sound off before clicking any links if anybody's within ear shot.
-- doctorremulac3, Oct 16 2010

Genderfuck: A person who rejects, and "fucks with," traditional gender roles.
-- Alx_xlA, Oct 18 2010

Rejection I am familiar with, thank you.

I do see a difficulty in some of these, as the thing that many of the folks have in common is the alleged rejection of groupthink. Rebelling in the exact same way as all of your friends are rebelling is a very traditional societal role.
