Develop smart robot bulls as an annual San Fermin alternative (use them in the bullfighting ring also, for that matter). The fans get their excitement, idiots still get gored on YouTube, and no bulls are harmed in the process.

I'm all for this, but your bullbots would have to have very particular properties:

-make sure they smell like a sweaty angry beast

-make sure they spit out copious amounts of stinking and sticky saliva as they run

-same with pee and caca and sweat

The race is very bestial and a live enraged bull is an awesome animal.

That's why it should never be killed, only smelled and watched.

Good chemistry can easily mimick saliva, sweat, pipi and caca.
