Disruptive peace bomb political ticket

This is a proposal for a Rick Santorum / Dan Savage independent political ticket for the upcoming presidential elections in the US of A. If you don't know the history between these two men you can google the word "Santorum" and read the first few hits. A political allegiance between these two would be very improbable but so is world peace. And after all what do we have to lose, it is 2012 and the last year ever. So if those two can get along then who couldn't get along. Wouldn't that ticket be a better place from which to start say for instance Arab/Israeli discussions than from either one of the other two probable starting points we have lined up?

My reasoning here is that both of these men have in common that they have used ideologies as technologies to overcome barriers presented to them by what seems pretty clearly to me are disabilities. If these two men could start by self identifying as people with disabilities and then continue by using their common ground to form a political platform then I think we would have something that mr Obama would at least need to worry about.

The common ground they share as people who need technologies is so much greater than their differences and is so much what we all share with the Internet and everything and with the need for big picture view that, well I would vote for them.

[marked-for-deletion] [fixed, heh.] Unless you have any idea about how to bring about such an unlikely coupling, or can give us a more substantial outline of what its program would be, I'm not sure what the invention is.

I doubt I'd vote for a Santorum/Savage party, but I'd certainly /attend/ a "Savage Santorum" party.
