Paper towels lightly air brushed with a very small hard plastic specks. The paper towels are further treated with baking soda. Could be sold as variations of this idea for different purposes.

Formerly Sand Paper Towels but UnaBubba had a better name for them.

Plastic = nonbiodegradable. Why not use slightly less pulped pulp? Wood sounds scratchier to me than plastic, anyway.

Then again, you could just use the cheap, 60-grit toilet paper they supply in office bathrooms.

Might be better if you have a drizzle pattern of thin plastic, almost like a netting sort of design. It would be safely abrasive and give more structural integrity too.
