Shouldn't each toilet have an infra-red device and a motion detector so that if someone forgets to flush the loo, it will do it itself automatically.

Baked. These 'sani-loos' clean the *whole cubicle*, including bowl, after each user. Cost about 20p. Just don't get stuck inside one.

Completely baked at public restrooms all over the US including rest stops, restaurants, and airports. The sinks in these restrooms also turn on lukewarm water when you put your hands under the fawcet and turn off when you remove them.
