Shoe Coolers   (+5, -1)  [vote for, against]
Keeps them nice and chilly

I know that I prefer the idea of shoes that are cool to shoes that are hot - I can't be the only one. After leaving my shoes in the car before going to the gym this afternoon (for the brazillianth time), I had to rest them on my one-pipe aircon unit this afternoon before going.

And then I figured that that was too simple a solution.

This device would be a single small air conditioner that blows cool air into your shoes, and thus warm air out. It would have two fan-blown pipes that would fit into your shoes and force cool air in, coming from a fork and a single small condenser.

This should probably have a timer, maybe with a happy little "Ding!"-type alert.

Plugs into your wall, and makes putting on your shoes a delicious treat.

I find going barefoot to be a simpler solution, but anything that leads to fewer hot shoes = fewer hot feet = fewer sweaty feet = fewer smelly feet = my vote [+]

Besides, freezing a can of coke makes it explode.

How big is a brazilian?

Why? Are you buying one a new thong?
-- Galbinus_Caeli, Sep 15 2006

I was feeling allusiony yesterday. It's a reference to a joke at Bush's expense.

Will those coke cans be equipped with some sort of protective barrier? I'm not too keen on slurping from a can covered in foot funk.

Perhaps a straw?
-- shapu, Sep 16 2006

Well, what's the fun of doing something without electricity and a condenser?
-- shapu, Sep 18 2006

Well, a straw would separate my mouth from the soda can, but it wouldn't separate the soda can from the shoe, and since here in the US, part of the soda top is folded into the can to open it...
