Computer: Screensaver

Cyber sleep

Well, this is my first post here, and I'm pretty new.. so this may have already been posted at some time (or actually done by someone,) plz bear with... My idea is for people like me, insomniacs and people who use computers for extended periods of time. I think a program should be made, like a screen saver, which uses simple dull white flashes of light on the monitor which flash at a freqency to simulate human brain synapsis which occur durning Alpha sleep, allowing you to set your computer for a half hour or so, veg out and get "hypnotized" into a form of self repairing sleep, allowing you to go on for a few more hours with only a few breaks here and there, with-out thoes nasty side effects like hallucinations and a bad temper. Possibly, even the frequency could be more efficient that norml sleep, requiring less time for an equal amount of rest. This is, by no means a replacement for normal sleep, but more of a once in a while, "working on a timeline" fix. O.K. that's about the gist of it... thanks fer reading my very first post, lessie how many bones i gets.

This is one variety. These things abound, for sleep aids, subliminal suggestions, altered states of consciousness. I don't think they work, but that's inconsequential. Get thee googling, Monsieur Garou. [waugsqueke, Jan 09 2002]

If you're going to post an idea, search first, then learn to spell and use some basic rules of grammar. Thank you.

the flashing lights are more likely to bring on an epileptic fit than send you to sleep.
