This ringtone records the ambient sound and then plays it back with a delay, or with augmentation. So if there was a lot of high end noise in the environment the ringtone could play low end noise. Or if there was a conversation going on the ringtone could record words and play them back with a delay, like the stutter-curing software. Or the ringtone could do like the Tom Cat app and just play back what you just said but in a really high voice.
