Simple text-recognition technology, applied to a pair of spectacles, could turn them into a useful calculator. Simply look at a mathematical problem and the solution would be displayed with semi-transparent LEDs on the inside of the lens.
Taken one step further, spectacles could scan all kinds of printed materials and translate what they see into electronic data.
